We understand that getting your driver’s license can be overwhelming due to the many steps involved in the process. Tricounty Driving School is here to make sure that you understand and can complete the steps necessary to help you feel confident and get you on the road faster. We will be here to help you every step of the way. In fact, we'll even help you with getting tested by having one right here at our location anytime you would like.
What You Need To Do
Step 1
The first step in obtaining your driver’s license is to complete an at home drug and alcohol course that will take around four hours. Tricounty will provide you with a CD of the DATA (drugs, alcohol, traffic, awareness) test and validation sheet. The cost of this exam is approximately $40.
Step 2
Next, you will need to prepare for the 50 question multiple choice exam. To pass, you must correctly answer 40 questions. You can take the test here at our location.
Step 3
Finally, you will need to take a driving test. Tricounty is happy to schedule your driving test for you. We will provide a car for you to take this exam. The driving test can be taken here at our location

After Learner's Permit
After you have obtained a learner's permit, you can finally get behind the wheel. It is required that you have 50 hours of supervised practice driving. Finally, you are required to take a road test, which Tricounty can schedule and conduct at our location for you. Our vehicles are available for this test.
